Why we put books in readers' hands

200 complimentary copies are an early step towards 50,000+ by 2030. Here is what Pragya hopes each book will start.

Young people are navigating a world shaped by employment uncertainty, environmental challenges, social conflict and questions about how humans treat other living beings. Meeting that world takes more than information alone. It takes the ability to think critically, recognise different perspectives and act responsibly.

Pragya, our educational initiative, uses books and digital learning to encourage informed decisions, social responsibility and practical skills.

What the books ask

We distribute books that invite readers to think more deeply about the choices in front of them. They are meant to encourage reflection and open conversation.

  • Climate action, and how daily choices connect with larger environmental challenges.
  • Animal cruelty and compassion, and the ethics of everyday choices.
  • Gender-related issues, including consent, dignity, safety and accountability.
  • Community well-being, and making thought-provoking reading more accessible.

Every book is an invitation to question, understand, and choose more consciously.

From 200 to 50,000+

We have distributed 200 complimentary copies as an initial step. This early progress gives us a foundation to reach more readers and build conversations around the themes in our books, through educational institutions, reading groups and community initiatives. Our target is 50,000+ copies by 2030.

Alongside the books, our youth employability e-course helps bridge the gap between what students learn and what workplaces expect. As we grow, we will track copies distributed, course enrolments, completion and learner feedback.
