Climate Leadership
From Climate Awareness to Climate Action
An education initiative that integrates climate learning into formal education through six phases of climate talks, practical Climate Labs, sustainability workshops and student-led action
Climate change is not just a topic for environmental science classes. It affects health, food, water, energy, livelihoods, cities and the future of every young person.

- 1 Million+
- Young people to reach by 2030
Climate Leadership Action is Hiba Green Foundation's initiative to help students understand these connections and translate climate knowledge into practical action.
Through a structured programme of six phases of climate talks and practical Climate Labs, we aim to make climate education more interactive, relevant and connected to everyday life.
Students are encouraged to question familiar practices, understand environmental challenges, examine possible solutions and explore how their own choices and communities can contribute to a more sustainable future.
Our six-phase learning approach
- 01
Climate Awareness
Introduce students to climate change, its causes, impacts and relevance to everyday life.
- 02
Understanding the Challenge
Explore the links between climate, energy, consumption, biodiversity, waste, water and communities.
- 03
Practical Climate Lab — Phase I
Use guided activities and simple exercises to connect concepts with observable environmental challenges.
- 04
Practical Climate Lab — Phase II
Review learning, examine student responses and deepen the discussion through practical problem-solving.
- 05
Sustainability Action
Encourage students to develop and evaluate realistic actions for their school, home or community.
- 06
Assessment and Reflection
Assess learning, discuss outcomes and identify opportunities for continued climate leadership.

Climate Education Should Not Be Limited to One Subject
Climate change influences almost every field of study. Yet students may complete entire courses without fully exploring how climate risks and sustainability affect their future professions.
Climate guest lectures can help bridge this gap by connecting academic knowledge with real-world environmental challenges.

Why every course needs a climate perspective
Connect theory with reality
Guest lectures bring current environmental challenges into the classroom and help students understand how academic concepts relate to the world around them.
Make climate learning interdisciplinary
Engineering, management, commerce, medicine, agriculture, humanities and technology all have connections to climate change and sustainability.
Develop critical thinking
Students can examine assumptions, understand trade-offs, question unsustainable practices and explore practical solutions.
Prepare future professionals
Climate literacy can help students make more informed decisions in their careers, organisations and communities.
Move from awareness to application
Practical Climate Labs and sustainability workshops give students opportunities to apply what they learn rather than treating climate change as a theoretical subject alone.
Our vision
Climate education should complement existing curricula and help students understand the environmental implications of the knowledge and skills they are acquiring.
Learning That Goes Beyond the Classroom
Our work in schools, colleges and other educational settings.
- Climate Guest LecturesInteractive sessions that introduce students to climate science, environmental responsibility and real-world challenges.
- Practical Climate LabsActivities that help students investigate environmental issues, test ideas and connect classroom learning with practical situations.
- Sustainability WorkshopsCollaborative exercises that encourage students to think about waste, resources, consumption and possible campus-level action.
- Learning and AssessmentStructured reflection and assessment to understand what students have learned and where further engagement is needed.

4,000+ Students. One Climate Learning Mission.
Climate Leadership Action has already reached more than 4,000 students through Climate Lab activities.
This experience provides a foundation for expanding practical climate education to more schools, colleges and institutions.
