Pragya is an educational initiative of Hiba Green Foundation that uses books and digital learning to encourage informed decisions, social responsibility, and practical skills among young people.
Through book distribution, we aim to make accessible literature available on climate action, animal cruelty and compassion, and community upliftment.
Alongside this, our youth employability e-course aims to help students develop the practical understanding and workplace readiness needed to move from classrooms into careers.

Two ways to learn.One purpose.
01Books that challenge perspectives
We distribute books that invite readers to think more deeply about climate action, environmental responsibility, animal cruelty and compassion, gender-related issues, and community well-being. The aim is to encourage reflection, empathy, and informed discussion — not simply to add another book to a shelf.
Our e-course is designed to help bridge the gap between what students learn in educational institutions and what workplaces expect. It aims to support practical skills, professional readiness, and a better understanding of industry expectations.
Education becomes more powerful when it builds both employability and responsibility towards the world around us.
Why this literature and learning matter
Because education must prepare us for life — not just examinations.
Young people are navigating a world shaped by employment uncertainty, environmental challenges, social conflict, emotional pressures, and questions about how humans treat other living beings. Pragya uses accessible books and practical learning to create opportunities for reflection, informed choices, and skill development.

Official survey data showed a decline in the youth unemployment rate over this period. However, unemployment figures alone do not tell us whether young people have the skills employers need, whether jobs match their qualifications, or whether employment is secure and adequately paid. Pragya's e-course aims to complement formal education with practical career-readiness learning.
Relationship conflict, isolation, social pressure, and unhealthy expectations can affect emotional well-being. Open conversations and thoughtful reading can help young people examine boundaries, communication, respect, and help-seeking.

3.6 lakh+crimes against women registered in India in 2023
Violence and abuse deserve serious attention regardless of the victim's gender. Literature can create space to discuss consent, dignity, safety, accountability, and gender bias without dismissing the experiences of any group.
India publishes no comparable national series for crimes against men, so none is shown.
Climate change is not only an environmental issue; it affects health, livelihoods, food systems, and future generations. Books on climate action can help readers connect daily choices with larger environmental challenges and explore realistic ways to reduce their impact.
Animal cruelty and compassion
10.25 million tonnesof meat produced in India in 2023–24
Literature can encourage readers to examine animal welfare, human responsibility, and the ethical implications of everyday choices with evidence and empathy.
A measure of production by weight, not a number of animals.
They require more than information alone. They require the ability to think critically, recognise different perspectives, act responsibly, and apply knowledge in real situations. Pragya brings these learning goals together through books and an employability e-course.
